Pfc. Roy I. Albert was reported missing in action as of December 12, 1944. According to the After Action Report, at 5 AM, December 12, they commenced crossing the Blies River, with B and C Companies entering the town of Habkirchen, Germany. They held this bridgehead alone for 48 hours against the repeated counterattacks of over 300 SS troops and tanks.
