Lewis F. Cantrell was born December 24, 1924.  He joined Company F, 134th Infantry Regiment on December 16, 1944 at Habkirchen, Germany. Prior to transferring to the 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division he served in the 26th Infantry Division.  He was seriously wounded in action on January 2, 1945 near Lutrerbois, Belgium and died from his wounds on January 7, 1945.  He is buried at Greensburg City Cemetery in Greensburg, Kentucky
