Leroy Thomas Farmer from Bland, Virginia was born July 27, 1924. He entered active service December 23, 1943 and joined Company F, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman July 21, 1944. Wounded in action August 9, 1944 he returned to duty September 5, 1944. He was reported missing in action September 11, 1944 during the Moselle River crossing near Flavigny, France. Pvt Leroy T Farmer is memorialized at Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France
