Tommie Marshel Harden, son of William Hugh and Alice (Harmon) Harden, was born September 12, 1921 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He registered for the draft February 16, 1942 and enlisted in the Army June 6, 1942 at Camp Forrest, Tennessee. He served in Company A, 134th Infantry Regiment and landed at Omaha Beach, Normandy France July 5, 1944. Pvt Tommie M Harden was killed in action by a shell blast July 15, 1944 during the battle for Hill 122, St Lo, France. He is buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
