134th Infantry Regiment - Company K

Marshall Marion Holland, son of Marshall Marion Sr and Amanda Gertrude (Lightsey) Holland, was born August 7, 1925 in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. He registered for the draft August 7, 1943 and was inducted into the Army July 19, 1944 at Shreveport, Louisiana. He arrived in the ETO in December 1944 and joined Company K, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 83rd Replacement Battalion January 17, 1945 when the unit was at Remichampagne, Belgium. He was promoted to Private First Class February 10, 1945. Pfc Marshall M Holland was reported missing February 26, 1945 in the vicinity of Hilfarth, Germany and was later confirmed killed in action on that date. He is buried at Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, Louisiana.
