Norris Lloyd Ivey, son of Henry Lloyd and Bertha Mabel (Close) Ivey, was born June 4, 1915 in Raymond, Nebraska. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940 and entered the Army February 20, 1941. He was in the Second Platoon, Company M, 134th Infantry Regiment and landed at Omaha Beach, Normandy France on July 6, 1944. Sgt Norris L Ivey was killed by shell blast fragments July 17, 1944 in the vicinity of St Lo, France. He is buried at Oak Creek Cemetery, Raymond, Nebraska.
