134th Infantry Regiment - Company B

George Elvin Jaquish, son of John and Mabel (Robbins) Jaquish, was born December 27, 1921 in Mainesburg, Pennsylvania. He registered for the draft February 16, 1942 and was inducted into the Army December 26, 1942 at Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. He joined Company B, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 38th Replacement Battalion October 1, 1944 when the unit was at Alincourt, France. Pfc George E Jaquish was killed in action by artillery shell fragments November 14, 1944 in the vicinity of Achain, France. He is buried at Lorraine American Cemetery, Saint Avold, France.
