Harold Charles Kain, son of Thomas John and Emma Louise (Mathesius) Kain, was born in Newark, New Jersey on January 15, 1912. He was married to Alma Louise Haitsch and the couple had 1 daughter. 1st Lt Harold C Kain was a platoon commander in Company E, 134th Infantry Regiment. He was Killed in Action July 17, 1944 during the battle for St Lo, France and is buried at Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
