134th Infantry Regiment - Company K

Lloyd Ivan Klundby, son of Albert Oluf and Anna (Hawkenson) Klundby, was born October 3, 1922 in Osseo, Wisconsin. He married Edna Marie Johnson January 11, 1944 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He registered for the draft June 30, 1942, entered service in March 1943 and trained at Camp Roberts, California, Camp Blanding, Florida, and Fort Meade, Maryland. He departed the US for the ETO in June 1944 and joined Company K, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 48th Replacement Battalion August 9, 1944 when the unit was near Barenton, France. Pvt Lloyd I Klundby was Killed in action September 13, 1944 in the vicinity of Flavigny, France. He is buried at Osseo Cemetery, Osseo, Wisconsin.
