134th Infantry Regiment - Company K

Carson Burdette Kuster, son of Paul Henry and Irene Elva (Ulrich) Kuster, was born May 19, 1918 in Globe Mills, Pennsylvania. He married Anna May Bellis April 12, 1941 and the couple had 3 children, Kenneth, Richard and Stanley. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940. At the time he was living in Belvidere, New Jersey. He was inducted into the Army June 22, 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jersey and received basic training at Camp Blanding, Florida before departing for the ETO in December 1944. He joined Company K, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Light Machine Gunner from the 14th Replacement Battalion December 21, 1944 when the unit was at Loupershouse, France. Pvt Carson B Kuster was initially reported missing and was later confirmed killed in action January 13, 1945 in the vicinity of Lutrebois, Belgium. He is buried at Globe Mills Cemetery, Globe Mills, Pennsylvania.
