134th Infantry Regiment - Company I

Luciano Paul Landolina, son of Joseph and Elvira (Gizzi) Landolina, was born February 21, 1925 in West Hartford, Connecticut. He registered for the draft February 22, 1943 when he was an 18 year old high school student. He was inducted into the Army July 21, 1943 at Hartford, Connecticut, served as a Rifleman in Company I, 134th Infantry Regiment, and landed at Omaha Beach, Normandy France July 6, 1944. Pvt Luciano P Landolina was killed in action by artillery shell fragments August 4, 1944 in the vicinity of the Vire River, southeast of St Lo, France. He is buried at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, Connecticut.
