134th Infantry Regiment - Company L

Emmett Truman Loucks, son of Albert Burtrum and Annie (Clemens) Loucks, was born October 31, 1913 in Motley, Minnesota. He married Judith Ingeborg Forseen September 27, 1941. He joined Company L, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Squad Leader from the 14th Replacement Battalion December 21, 1944 when the unit was at Loupershouse, France and was promoted to Staff Sergeant December 28, 1944. S/Sgt Emmett T Loucks was captured by the enemy December 30, 1944 in the vicinity of Lutrebois, Belgium. He died February 4, 1945 while being held as a prisoner of war. He is buried at Luxembourg American Cemetery, Hamm, Luxembourg.
