134th Infantry Regiment - Company G

Eugene Lee Louderback, son of Russell George and Eunice Maud (Curless) Louderback, was born April 29, 1925 in Camp Point, Illinois. He and his wife Marjorie had a son Joseph Eugene. He joined Company G, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 86th Replacement Battalion July 19, 1944 when the unit was in the vicinity of St Lo, France. He was promoted to Private First Class September 1 and to Sergeant, Squad Leader December 21, 1944. Sgt Eugene L Louderback suffered a gunshot wound in action January 3, 1945 in the vicinity of Lutrebois, Belgium and was transferred to the 104th Evacuation Hospital. He died of his wounds the following day, January 4, 1945 and is buried at Luxembourg American Cemetery, Hamm Luxembourg.
