Dick Mabry, Jr, son of Dick and Linne (Morgan) Mabry, was born November 23, 1920 in Melvern, Kansas and moved to California sometime before 1930. He registered for the draft February 15, 1942. At the time he was living in San Jose, California. He was inducted into the Army October 12, 1942 at San Francisco, California and joined Company B, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 86th Replacement Battalion July 21, 1944 when the unit was in the vicinity of St Lo, France. Pvt Dick Mabry, Jr was reported missing August 12, 1944 in the vicinity of Mortain, France and was later confirmed killed in action on that date. He is buried at Brittany American Cemetery, Saint James, France.
