134th Infantry Regiment - Company K

David Hamilton McSpadden, son of David Russell and Lillian (Hamilton) McSpadden, was born December 28, 1925 in Detroit, Alabama. He registered for the draft December 28, 1943 and was inducted into the Army June 21, 1944 at Fort McPherson, Georgia. He joined Company K, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 14th Replacement Depot on December 24, 1944 while the unit was in Metz, France. He was reported missing December 30, 1944 and was later confirmed killed in action by an artillery blast January 11, 1945 while attacking enemy held high ground on the outskirts of Lutrebois, Belgium. Pvt David H McSpadden is buried at Carter Cemetery, Detroit, Alabama.
