Pfc John H Meints was born in Nebraska on June 13, 1913. He was a member of the Nebraska National Guard and served as a Light Machine Gunner in Weapons Platoon, Company C, 134th Infantry Regiment. He was Killed in Action July, 15, 1944 during the battle for St Lo, France. He is buried at Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
