Robert Roy Miller, son of Roy Edward and Elizabeth Blanche (Bovee) Miller, was born September 10, 1918 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940 and was a member of the Nebraska National Guard, mobilized to Federal service December 23, 1940. He served in the Communications Platoon, Headquarters Company 3rd Battalion, 134th Infantry Regiment and landed at Omaha Beach, Normandy France July 7, 1944. Sgt Robert R Miller was killed in action July 24, 1944 in the vicinity of St Lo, France. He is buried at Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln, Nebraska.
