Llyod Franklin Moore, son of Archie Erwin and Goldie Lavanda (Rheuby) Moore, was born August 13, 1925 in Lamar, Colorado. He was married to Veta Moore. He registered for the draft September 4, 1943 and was inducted into the Army November 11, 1943 at Santa Fe, New Mexico. He joined Company B, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 83rd Replacement Battalion January 17, 1945 when the unit was in the vicinity of Marvie, Belgium. Pfc Lloyd F Moore was reported missing February 26, 1945 when he was last seen in the vicinity of the road between Horst and Hilfarth, Germany while the company was moving forward. He was separated from the company and was not present when they reached their objective at Hilfarth. The area between Horst and Hilfarth, Germany was heavily mined. He was later confirmed killed in action on that date. He is buried at Ardennes American Cemetery, Neuville-en-Condroz, Belgium.
