Robert Dugan Mosser, son of Jacob Louis and Mary Margaret (Dugan) Mosser, was born January 31, 1916 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He married Mildred Ann Kreuzberger February 2, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940. At the time he was living in Saginaw, Michigan and working at F W Woolworth. He was inducted into the Army February 14, 1941 at Saginaw, Michigan and was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant October 16, 1942. He departed for the ETO in October 1944 and joined Company K, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Platoon Leader from the 38th Replacement Battalion November 16, 1944 while the unit was in the vicinity of Morhange, France. 2nd Lt Robert D Mosser was reported missing December 12, 1944 in the vicinity of Bliesbruck, France and was later confirmed killed in action December 20, 1944. He is buried at Lorraine American Cemetery, Saint Avold, France.
