Forrest Eugene Norton, son of William Penn and Mary Jane (Cason) Norton, was born February 19, 1912 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. He was married to Wanda Willow Johnson. He registered for the draft October 17, 1940 and joined Company A, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 14th Replacement Battalion December 24, 1944 when the unit was at Metz, France. Pvt Forrest E Norton was reported missing January 4, 1945 and was later confirmed killed in action January 12, 1945 while clearing a wooded area of the enemy northeast of Marvie, Belgium. He is buried at Luxembourg American Cemetery, Hamm, Luxembourg.
