Curtis William Parker, son of Len and Pearl Parker, was born May 6, 1923 in Stillwell, Oklahoma. He registered for the draft July 7, 1942. At that time he was living in Ukiah, California and working at the California Grape Products Company in Ukiah Valley. He was inducted into the Army July 23, 1943 at San Francisco, California. He joined Company K, 134th Infantry Regiment from the 83rd Replacement Battalion as an Assistant Squad Leader December 19, 1944. Sgt Curtis W Parker was killed by a sniper December 30, 1944 while taking the enemy held town of Lutrebois, Belgium. He is buried at Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Henri-Chapelle, Belgium.
