134th Infantry Regiment - Company B

Robert Stanley Pennington, son of Ralph Lewis and Glady (Lehr) Pennington, was born September 23, 1918 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940. At the time he was living in Louisville, Kentucky and working at the J. G. McCrory Corporation. He was inducted into the Army June 11, 1941 in Louisville. Originally a member of the 26th Infantry Division, he joined Company B, 134th Infantry Regiment on December 16, 1944 and served as a Squad Leader. Sgt Robert S Pennington was killed in action December 29, 1944 vicinity of Marvie, south of Bastogne, Belgium while directing artillery fire on enemy positions from a house he was using as on observation point. He is buried at Luxembourg American Cemetery, Hamm, Luxembourg.
