134th Infantry Regiment - Company C and Medical Detachment

Kenneth Merle Radcliffe, son of Merle and Anna Marea (Riddle) Radcliffe, was born October 17, 1921 in Paoli, Indiana. He registered for the draft February 16, 1942 and was inducted into the Army October 12, 1942 at Louisville, Kentucky. He joined Company C, 134th Infantry Regiment from the 48th Replacement Battalion on August 10, 1944 and was transferred to the Medical Detachment November 1, 1944 as a Medical Aid Man. Pvt Kenneth M Radcliffe was shot and killed by an enemy sniper December 7, 1944 just south of Sarreguemines, France while attempting to evacuate a wounded soldier. He is buried at IOOF Cemetery, Paoli, Indiana.
