Pfc. Raul L. Reyes was a Heavy Machine Gunner (MOS 605) in Company D, 1st Battalion, 134th Infantry Regiment.  He came in as a replacement on April 4, 1945 and was promoted from Private to Private First Class two days later.  He stayed with the unit until they returned home on the Queen Mary, sailing from Southhampton, England on September 5 and dropping anchor in New York Harbor 5 days later on Monday, September 10, 1945.
