Charles Phillip Stevens, son of Louie Kasouth and Emma (Bindernagel) Stevens, was born in Nebraska on August 19, 1912. He was a member of the Nebraska National Guard, inducted into Federal Service December 23, 1940 at Beatrice, Nebraska. He served as a Squad Leader in the First Platoon, Company C, 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action July 16, 1944 during the battle for St Lo, France. Sgt Charles P Stevens is buried at Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice, Nebraska.
