134th Infantry Regiment - Company B

Joseph Supsinskas, son of John Adam and Anna Supsinskas, was born August 27, 1912 in New Britain, Connecticut. He married Jennie Eleanor Stankevich in 1935 and the couple had 2 children, a daughter Patricia and son Joseph. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940. At the time he was working at the Cremo Brewing Company in New Britain. He was inducted into the Army March 20, 1944 at Fort Devens, Massachusetts, joined Company B, 134th Infantry Regiment from the 71st Replacement Battalion on October 4, 1944 and served as a Rifleman. He was promoted to Private First Class December 1, 1944. Pfc Joseph Supsinskas was killed in action December 16, 1944 by artillery shell fragments in the vicinity of Habkirchen, Germany. He is buried at Lorraine American Cemetery, Saint-Avold, France.
