134th Infantry Regiment - Company A

William Henry Wilder, son of Sidney and Lena Alma (Wasmer) Wilder, was born June 12, 1914 in Waurika, Oklahoma. The family moved to Kansas sometime before 1920. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940. At that time he was living in Clay Center, Kansas. S/Sgt William H Wilder served as a Squad Leader, Second Platoon, Company A, 134th Infantry Regiment. He was killed in action July 28, 1944 as the regiment attacked southward from St Lo, France. He is buried at Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
