134th Infantry Regiment - Company F

John Kenneth Zahn was born July 11, 1924. He was a member of the Weapons Platoon, Company F, 134th Infantry Regiment. He landed on Omaha Beach July 5 and was promoted to Private First Class July 27, 1944. He went missing September 11, 1944 and was later confirmed killed in action that same date in the vicinity of Flavigny, France while participating in an attack against a strong enemy position to establish a bridgehead across the Moselle River. Pfc John K Zahn is buried at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
