137th Infantry Regiment, Company L

Roswell Reid Harden, son of Reid Roswell and Martha Etta (Bolton) Harden, was born 1922 in Florida. He enlisted in the Army January 3, 1940 and joined Company L, 137th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 17th Replacement Battalion December 25, 1944 when the unit was in Moulins, France. Pvt Roswell R Harden was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge and reported missing in action January 1, 1945. He was confirmed killed in action January 6, 1945 in the vicinity of Villers-la-Bonne-Eau, Belgium. He is buried at Ardennes American Cemetery, Neuville-en-Condroz, Belgium.
