137th Infantry Regiment, Company B

Cecil Johnson, son of Joseph Milton and Freda Mary (Ducote) Johnson, was born June 26, 1924 at Bunkie, Louisiana. He registered for the draft June 30, 1942 and entered the Army during 1943. He joined Company B, 137th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 38th Replacement Battalion September 18, 1944 when the unit was east of Nancy, France. Pfc Cecil Johnson was killed in action November 9, 1944 in the vicinity of Oriocourt, France. He is buried at Pythian Cemetery, Bunkie, Louisiana.
