Clifford Lindsley Larson, son of Lars and Ida (Christenson) Larson was born August 26, 1919 in Bottineau, North Dakota. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940 and was inducted into the Army February 26, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. He joined Company I, 137th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 38th Replacement Battalion September 28, 1944 when the unit was in the vicinity of Gremecey, France and was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge October 1, 1944. Pfc Clifford L Larson was initially reported missing April 16, 1945 and was later confirmed killed in action in the vicinity of Tangermunde, Germany. He is buried at Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
