Harry La Vohn Mann was born 1915 in Oregon. He was inducted into the Army January 3, 1944 at Portland, Oregon and joined Company L, 137th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 48th Replacement Battalion August 11, 1944 while the unit was in the vicinity of Mortain, France. Pfc Harry L Mann was killed in action by shrapnel September 22, 1944 in the vicinity of Champenoux, northeast of Nancy, France. He is buried at Lorraine American Cemetery, Saint Avold, France.
