Ivan Clarence Roseman, son of Clarence and Clara (Leach) Roseman, was born May 7, 1921 in Lexington, Illinois. He married Pauline Jones September 5, 1940 and the couple had three children, Ivan, Doris, and Lynn. He registered for the draft February 2, 1942. At the time he was living in Randolph, Illinois where he owned and operated a trucking company. He entered service June 21, 1944, joined Company C, 137th Infantry Regiment from the 14th Replacement Battalion December 21, 1944 as a Rifleman, and was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge January 1, 1945. Pvt Ivan C Roseman was originally reported missing and was later confirmed killed in action January 1, 1945 during the Battle of the Bulge in the vicinity of Villers-la-Bonne-Eau, Belgium. He is buried at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Bloomington, Illinois.
