Conrad Bernard Siegle, son of August Fredrick and Julia Elsie (Christian) Siegle, was born December 9, 1925 in Kenova, West Virginia. He registered for the draft December 9, 1943. At the time he was working at Frampton Tie Yard in Kenova. He joined Company C, 137th Infantry Regiment from the 17th Replacement Battalion January 8, 1945 and served as a Rifleman. He was promoted to Private First Class January 22 and awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge February 1, 1945. Pfc Conrad B Siegle was originally reported missing. It was later confirmed that he had been killed in action February 7, 1945 in the vicinity of Heinsburg, Germany. He is buried at Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
