137th Infantry Regiment - Company H

Ethmer West, son of Oscar and Clara Leona (Seaton) West, was born in Missouri August 25, 1917. He served as a Light Mortar Crewman in Company H, 137th Infantry Regiment. He was killed in action July 19, 1944 in the vicinity of St Lo, France and was posthumously awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge August 2, 1944. Cpl Ethmer West is buried at Jefferson City National Cemetery, Jefferson City, Missouri.
