Herbert Owen Wright, son of William Harrison and Ida Belle (Wintrow) Wright, was born June 11, 1921 in Ohio. He married Violet Blanche Fisher and the couple had two sons, Herbert Owen, Jr. who died in infancy and Robert Eugene Wright. He was inducted into the Army May 3, 1944 at Fort Thomas, Newport, Kentucky. He joined Company A, 137th Infantry Regiment from the 17th Replacement Battalion on November 18, 1945, served as a Rifleman, and was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge January 1, 1945. Pvt Herbert O Wright was killed in action during fighting in the Ardennes on January 11, 1945 in the vicinity of Lutremange, Belgium. He is buried at Luxembourg American Cemetery, Hamm, Luxembourg.
