James P. Kiley was assigned to Battery C of the 161st Field Artillery Battalion on January 16, 1945 as a Second Lieutenant. His specialty was as a Forward Observer. He remained there until being reassigned to the 50th FA Bt. on July 21 as a 1st Lieutenant. After the war he remained in the Army Reserves until 1959, when he retired as a Captain. He lived in Baring, Missouri until his death on December 6, 1969.
