Claude Edmond Teeter, Jr, son of Claude Edmond and Viola Caroline (Swain) Teeter, was born in Kansas. The Find A Grave website lists his year of birth as 1923 but his enlistment record lists 1920. He was a member of the Kansas National Guard, mobilized to Federal Service December 23, 1940 at Salina, Kansas. He served in Headquarters Battery, 216th Field Artillery Battalion. He was killed in action by artillery shrapnel on February 4, 1945 in the vicinity of Geilenkirchen, Germany. T/5 Claude E Teeter, Jr is buried at Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
