Liberation of Janville, France by the 320th Infantry Regiment

Photographs are courtesy of the Lemaitre family. Thanks to Philip Carmichael for submitting these pictures. His wife was about 10 years old during the liberation. She remembers the village bombing because there was grain in the grain elevators and the Germans were taking it to Germany. Her brother sat on their roof to watch the action. Retreating Germans also stole a pool table from their house only to abandon it later.
