Company A -  320th Infantry Regiment

William Jamison Jobes, son of Donald Lee and Lillian Violet (Parker) Jobes, was born June 3, 1924 in Bradley Beach, New Jersey. He registered for the draft June 30, 1942 and was inducted into the Army January 13, 1943 at Monmouth, New Jersey. He was a Rifleman in Company A, 320th Infantry Regiment and landed at Omaha Beach, Normandy France July 6, 1944. Initially reported missing, he was later confirmed killed in action July 23, 1944 in the vicinity of St Lo, France. Pfc William J Jobes was posthumously awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge July 25, 1944. He is buried at Glendola Cemetery, Wall Township, New Jersey.
