Harvey Hampton Justice, Jr was born July 10, 1925 in McAndrews, Pike County, Kentucky. He registered for the draft on his 18th birthday, July 10, 1943, and was inducted into the Army October 13, 1943 at Huntington, West Virginia. He joined Company G, 320th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 86th Replacement Battalion on July 17, 1944 when the unit was in the vicinity of St Lo, France. He was with the Regiment during the Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, and Central European Campaigns. Pfc Harvey H Justice, Jr returned to the U.S. aboard the ship Queen Mary, departing Southhampton, England on September 5 and arriving in New York Harbor 5 days later on Monday, September 10, 1945. He was discharged from the Army on November 5, 1945. After the war, he was a successful business owner in White Lake Township and Highland, Michigan, running several gas stations and other businesses. He passed away on October 27, 2003.
