Joseph Ralph Lauria, son of Ralph and Clara Lauria, was born May 30, 1924 in North Bergen, New Jersey. He registered for the draft June 30, 1942. At the time he was living in Wrightstown, New Jersey and working at Brann and Stuart Company at Fort Dix. He was inducted into the Army July 1, 1943 at Camden, New Jersey, served in Company G, 320th Infantry Regiment, and landed at Omaha Beach, Normandy France July 6, 1944. Pfc Joseph R Lauria was killed in action July 13, 1944 in the vicinity of St Lo, France. He is buried at Flower Hill Cemetery, North Bergen, New Jersey.
