Pfc Henry Lewandowski served in Headquarters Company 3rd Battalion, 320th Infantry Regiment. He was awarded the Expert Infantryman Badge July 31, 1944 and the Combat Infantryman Badge August 20, 1944. He was killed in action by shell blast fragments on September 26, 1944 in the vicinity of Champenoux, France and is buried at Lorraine American Cemetery, Saint Avold, France.
