Edward Anthony Madden, son of Walter and Mary (Domian) Madden, was born September 3, 1924 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He registered for the draft December 21, 1942 and was inducted into the Army March 16, 1943. He joined Service Company, 320th Infantry Regiment from the 38th Replacement Battalion December 12, 1944 when the unit was in the vicinity of Siltzheim, south of Sarreguemines, France and transferred to Company G December 20, 1944 serving as a Rifleman. Pvt Edward A Madden was reported missing December 29, 1944 in the vicinity of Harlange, Luxembourg and was later confirmed killed in action on that date. He is buried at Epinal American Cemetery, Epinal, France.
