John Noll, son of Peter Joseph and Sylvia (Rentfro) Noll, was born March 26, 1925 in St Louis, Missouri. He registered for the draft March 29, 1943 and was inducted into the Army July 5, 1943 at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. He joined Company K, 320th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 86th Replacement Battalion, August 2, 1944 when the unit was in the vicinity of St Lo, France. Pvt John Noll was originally reported missing August 13, 1944 in the vicinity of Mortain, France and was later confirmed killed in action on that date. He is buried at Brittany American Cemetery, Saint James, France.
