Company G - 320th Infantry Regiment

Harold Clayton Olson, son of Nels and Amelia Caroline (Anderson) Olson, was born June 25, 1917 in Adams, North Dakota. He married Elizabeth Irene Campbell November 7, 1940 and the couple had one son. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940. At the time he was living in Willows California. He was inducted into the Army March 23, 1943 at San Francisco and joined Company G, 320th Infantry Regiment from the 92nd Replacement Battalion July 24, 1944 when the Regiment was about 3 miles east of St Lo, France. Pfc Harold C Olson was originally reported missing September 14, 1944 in the vicinity of Hudivillier, southeast of Nancy, France and was later confirmed killed in action on that date. He is buried at West Adams Cemetery, Adams, North Dakota.
