Company L - 320th Infantry Regiment

Joseph William Quinn, son of William Michael and Ellen Marie (Driscoll) Quinn, was born April 27, 1917 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. He married Wanda S Adams August 28, 1943. He registered for the draft October 28, 1940. At the time he was working at the Frank Holton Company in Elkhorn. He was inducted into the Army August 4, 1942 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He joined Service Company, 320th Infantry Regiment from the 48th Replacement Battalion December 17, 1944 and transferred to Company L 3 days later on December 20. Pfc Joseph W Quinn was reported missing January 7, 1945 south of Bastogne, Belgium. It was later confirmed that he had been captured by the enemy and died January 30, 1945 while being held as a prisoner of war. He is buried at Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands and memorialized at Mount Olive Cemetery, Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
