Louis Vigil Quinones, son of Refugio Sanchez and Clorinda "Clara" (Vigil) Quinones, was born June 20, 1921 in Walsenburg, Colorado. He registered for the draft February 15, 1942. At the time he was living in Stockton, California. He was inducted into the Army November 30, 1942 at Sacramento. Pvt Louis V Quinones, a Rifleman in Company G, 320th Infantry Regiment, landed at Omaha Beach in Normandy France July 6, 1944. He was killed in action July 11, 1944 during the battle for St Lo, France. He is buried at Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
