Max Taylor Reynolds, son of Leon Henry and Alta (Lillie) Reynolds, was born April 15, 1918 in Coopersville, Michigan. He married Marjorie Fay Branham November 11, 1943 in Dallas, Texas. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940 and was inducted into the Army April 22, 1941 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was commissioned 1st Lieutenant March 25, 1944 and joined Company H, 320th Infantry Regiment as an Infantry Unit Commander from the 48th Replacement Battalion August 11, 1944 while the unit was in the vicinity of Mortain, France. 1st Lieutenant Max T Reynolds was reported missing January 15, 1945 in the vicinity of Oubourcy, Belgium, about 10 miles northeast of Bastogne, and was later confirmed killed in action on that date. He is buried at Coopersville Polkton Cemetery, Coopersville, Michigan.
