Company G - 320th Infantry Regiment

Leo Richard Robinson, son of Ernest Everett and Estelle Vergine (Cox) Robinson, was born October 23, 1915 in Albion, Pennsylvania. He and his wife Gertrude Jane Herman had two children, a son Edward and daughter Diane. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940. At the time he was living in Erie, Pennsylvania and working at Reed Manufacturing Company. He was inducted into the Army December 11, 1943 at Erie, Pennsylvania, joined Company G, 320th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman September 18, 1944 from the 38th Replacement Depot, and was promoted to Private First Class November 1, 1944. Pfc Leo R Robinson was killed in action November 12, 1944 in the vicinity of Chateau-Salins, France. He is buried at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Millcreek Township, Pennsylvania.
